Dr. Jonathan Pontell
Dr. Jonathan Pontell is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and founder of The Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery Center, Inc., serving patients throughout Philadelphia, the Main Line, South Jersey, and Delaware. With nearly 30 years of experience devoted exclusively to the face, Dr. Pontell is recognized for his meticulous surgical skill, artistic precision, and compassionate approach to care. He performs a full range of facial cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, including rhinoplasty, facelift and eyelid surgery, hair restoration, minimally invasive rejuvenation, and many others. Dr. Pontell provides customized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve results that look natural and harmonious with their features. After earning his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where he was inducted into the Hobart Amory Hare Medical Honor Society, Dr. Pontell completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He later served as Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine, where he trained residents in advanced facial procedures. Dr. Pontell is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he has been recognized as a “Super Doctor” in Philadelphia Magazine and a “Top Doctor” in Main Line Today and Delaware Today, as well as “Best Facial Plastic Surgeon” in Main Line Life. Beyond his clinical work, he volunteers with the Face-to-Face and Faces of Honor programs to provide pro bono surgical care to survivors of domestic violence and injured veterans.
